The exhibitions are the Confluence Museum's showcase; they are all innovatively designed to communicate knowledge.  Accessible to everyone, these spaces are created to incite interest and curiosity.

It is a place that enlightens, questions..., leaving each person the freedom to discover, as they wish.

A place which is open and dynamic, which gives one the desire to discover and then to come back again to experience new discoveries.

The Exhibitions

State of the Art Museography

The Confluence Museum does not want to just arouse the visitors' interest. It also seeks to appeal to their curiosity, their emotions, their imagination, to inspire them, ...

In order to do this, state of the art museography is used to convey information and impart knowledge:

- a cultural and scientific project which appeals to the scientific, technology and artistic disciplines,

- innovative technologies, which are dynamic and interactive,

- a large range of cultural activities will be programmed to coincide with the exhibitions (festivals, conferences, debates, cinema, as well as dance and theater performances...).

The Exhibitions

Three Permanent Core Collection Exhibitions
(3 000 m2)

Goal: investigate the complex relationships between the sciences and society, which is at the heart of our daily lives and a contemporary debate.  Evolving as knowledge advances; founded on scientific rigor, the exhibitions are focused on three fundamental questions:

1. "Where do we come from and where are we going ?"
The quest for our origins and our view of the future is shared throughout humanity.

It is important to present the breadth of diversity in how people think and their visions of the world.

2. "Who are we?"
What makes humans different from animals?  What is the relationship between humankind and the environment and with their fellow citizens of the world?

3. "What are we doing?"
This exhibition shows humankind's capacity to innovate, to invent, to organize, to build... It encourages one to reflect on businesses' strategies: reconciling ethics and technological innovation.

The Exhibitions

Six In-Depth Multi-Disciplinary Exhibitions
(3 400 m2)

To further discover the themes treated in the permanent core collections, exhibitions are examined and explored from different perspectives, all linked to society, technology and the sciences...

Each theme is independent, one from the other.

Each exhibit corresponds to the Museum's current themes, designed to further knowledge and spark curiosity; they will last for different lengths of time, from two months to one year.

The tone and the innovative way that themes will be presented and explained will be adapted to the targeted public: reflection, hands-on interaction, dramatization, experimentation...

Several topics are already in the planning: Art and the Machine; Deserts; Sound; Laughter...
